Project Management
In order to keep a project or program on track, milestones and deliverables have to be mapped from project beginning to the successful end of the project. Identifying the activity, the owner and due date are the basics to sound program management. Keeping track of multiple projects can be an overwhelming challenge but integrated project management systems can make a difference.
Real-time Synchronization of Project Management Systems
ClearView Technologies, inc. provides real time control (powered by ClearView-ACE) of complex program management office operations across multiple disparate information sources across firewalls. Business rules, analysis, information gathering and presentation of custom views in real time are provided to staff and executives, empowering decisions and mitigating project jeopardies.
Clearview's PMO real time dashboards powered by ClearView-ACETM ensure complete monitoring of complex cost, schedule, and scope baselines. Assessment of impact variances, automating key processes across locations, departments, staff, executive management, suppliers, customers...everyone who has a stake in the success of the program. Integrated Earned Value Management (EVM) is calculated and visualized in custom format. Adaptive Intelligence and patented artificial intelligence identifies risk patterns through automated analysis of integrated business data. Real time dashboards, that are operational, showing root causes, provide alerts as it tracks Key Performance and Risk Indicators. Risk management processes are triggered automatically across many systems and directed to teams and individuals to take immediate remediation. - Internal PMO, ERP, CRM, Logistics, GL, HR, Contract Management
- External systems from suppliers, contractors, partners
- E-mails, Excel, Word, PDF's, Project Plans, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Visio
This Integrated PMO solution: - Achieves without programming code and without change to any system!
- Adaptive Artificial Intelligence learns costing and scheduling dependencies from examples of data lookups and decisions
- Links and updates real-time data from all permissible internal / external systems
- Automates collaboration for instant communication amongst PMO organizations
- Program management dashboards WITHOUT expensive data warehouses
- Provides real-time interoperability with all permissible systems and data sources
Problem: The Army's CECOM Knowledge Center was required to track $15 Billion of weapons programs for more than 300 users. The Army had previously developed a portal to several major systems. A host of other systems that contained important information that included spreadsheets, e-mails, business intelligence systems, six project management systems such as Primavera and MS Project needed to be reconciled and brought together in order to provide a custom report to each manager within the program. Reports, at the time, required 2-3 weeks to be compiled by system analysts. The reports were assembled manually by going to each of the data sources, cutting and pasting information, providing some manual analysis, and sending the final report to the manager. The report information would be aged several weeks by the time tit reached a manager's desk and phone calls had to be made to gain current status. Because reports were completed manually they were often incomplete or in error because someone failed to "see" all the data or copied the data inaccurately. Briefings that required a team of people getting together weekly to discuss project status was also eliminated. Solution: The Integrated PMO solution solved these problems in 8 weeks. All was accomplished without writing code or change to existing systems or the need for a data warehouse. Management reports were available every morning or whenever requested by the user. Analysts were no longer needed as all manual processes became automated. As the Army's Knowledge Center CIO reported in interview with Government Computer News "...a program manager gets to see how much money is coming in and how much money is spent. That information is all over the place in DOD and the Army. It's in 1,000 systems. The Integrated PMO solution goes into external sources, which represent roughly 80 percent of the sources from which Army program managers get their information. It also provides automated feeds from those external systems." Benefits: The ability to automatically generate reports from disparate systems cannot be overstated. The value of information that is now accurate, reliable, and current over the previous method is incalcuable.
